What happens if there is disruption to authentication systems?

HEIs can add IP ranges and Web Proxy IPs themselves (https://cla.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003599754-Using-a-Web-Proxy-to-access-DCS-content) to offer access to content.

Up to 10 class C ranges and one Class B can be added as ranges, however if you would like us to increase that capacity please let us know.

CLA can also quickly change authentication method during business hours if there are any incidents and you have an alternative authentication method available (Shibboleth, Athens or EZproxy). This should take no more than five minutes and content links (not the URL) will immediately be usable under the alternative authentication with no changes.

Please ensure that all staff are using the content links generated in the DCS and not copying from the URL to ensure students can access content if any changes are made.
