The Email to Lecturer button is still present in DCS2.0 on completed/published requests.
It is intended only for emailing lecturers who already exist as lecturer records in the DCS
The email field is no longer editable to arbitrary addresses.
Navigate to Completed Requests, and click on the three dot menu, then click 'View details'
Scrolling down to the bottom of the page under the Publish section should be the 'Email Lecturer' button:
Under 'To' you will see the lead lecturer's email (this is editable if you want to email another lecturer instead).
The 'Subject' and 'Message' are also editable so you may wish to add details such as saying hello, introducing what you're sending, and also listing your contact details (the email will be sent from a generic Do-Not-Reply address, so they will not be able to reply).
Once sent you will get a confirmation message.
As stated above, the lecturer will then receive a message from the DCS.
Please let your academics know not to reply to these emails directly (either before or in the editable message detail).
