If the same piece of content is used on more than once course, you can use the Clone Content function to quickly reuse an existing content request and generate a new link.
How to clone content:
Go to Requests in Progress or Completed Requests.
- Find the content request you want to reuse.
- Click the menu at the end of the row.
- Select Clone content and confirm.
- Then you choose which course to clone the request to
- Create the clone by selecting Create content request
- The clone will be generated and will exist in ‘Requests in Progress’ until a new link is generated:
7. You can also clone from within the Content request from the Course and Lecturer section:
8. From here, you can review the details and generate a new a link; the content will then move from Requests in Progress to Completed Requests.
9. There is also the option to Clone to another course from the Link Generation section of the Content request.
Important note:
Content cannot be assigned to the same course twice.
Each cloned request generates a separate link.
Licence and extent checks are reapplied to the cloned request.
Changes to the original request do not affect clones.
