We have released some new features to the live DCS site. Please see below for further details:
Increased the number of lecturers who can be linked to a course
Previously, it was only possible to link 5 lecturers to a single course. We have now raised this cap to 15. We hope that this will be useful for larger institutions and also those that have courses spread across multiple campuses.
Update to 'Assign to Course' dropdown
We have improved the dropdown that appears from the Academic Request Form and on the Active Request page. The courses now appear by course code in alphabetical order, both when scrolling and when searching:
We have also added a scroll bar to the complete list of courses, so institutions with lots of courses can easily scroll through their courses, rather than them all appear in one long list. This should make it easier for academics and DCS users to navigate through courses when placing and processing requests.
Removed ownership requirement for Open Access & Creative Commons requests
We have removed the requirement to confirm ownership of digitisation requests covered under Open Access & Creative Commons:
Previously, DCS users would need to confirm ownership as a workaround in order to successfully publish their request. This is no longer necessary.
Onboarding related improvement
We have improved our processes for completing bulk updates, so that institutions who are onboarding to the DCS can easily review their requests.
Bug fixes
We have also released some bug fixes to the DCS, and will be in touch with users individually to confirm that these fixes.
