Tooltips for Licence Compliance

We have added tooltips next to the override options for Licence Compliance Verification. If you hover over the tooltips you’ll see a short explanation of what each override option means:

We’ve also added a new override option, Out of Copyright, and merged Open Access & Creative Commons into one option.

Ability to see scans linked to requests

We have added a new workflow to the DCS which should make it easier for HEIs to delete scans. It is not possible to delete scans on the DCS if the scans are in use in a request, however, at the moment the only way a user can know if a scan is linked to a request is by contacting CLA or downloading a HEI report. To simplify this process, we have introduced a new workflow which lets users know which requests scans are linked to.

If you are trying to delete a scan that linked to one of your institution’s requests, the following pop-up will appear:

If you click Review requests you’ll be taken to a page showing you all the requests linked with that scan:


You can then go through and review these requests as necessary.

If a scan is being used in requests at your institution and another HEIs request, you will see the following message, giving you the option to both review your own requests and also contact CLA:

Born Digital reporting

We have added a new column on the HEI report titled Source Extract. This will allow you to see where the source content linked with a request has come from. These are options:

1. Born Digital: The content request is linked to a Born Digital extract.
2. EHESS: The content request is linked to an EHESS order placed by your institution.
3. EHESS (other): The content request is linked to an EHESS order placed by another institution.
4. Crowd sourced: The content request is linked to a crowd-sourced extract.
5. Null: The content request is not linked with an extract.

We are expecting some old requests to be showing as a ‘Null’ value for the following few weeks after this release, however, this will be updated in due course. All new requests will show the correct Source Extract value on the HEI report.
