The below outlines current known issues which are due to be released in the near future.
1. SEPS integration
The development work for the SEPS integration has been completed, but we are still in the User Acceptance Testing phase. We hope to have this released after rollover and ahead of the new academic year.
Once live, users will be able to purchase a SEPS order directly from the DCS. Users that wish to make use of the SEPS integration will need to contact Product Support to ask them to "switch SEPS on". Please contact us letting us know that you would like to use the service and inform us of your payment method. Once you're set up, we'll let you know.
A full demo and instructions will follow, but the basic process will be as follows:
- User creates a content request for a second chapter (or above 10%, where 10% has already been used), or a third journal article (or above 10%, where 10% has already been used)
- User continues with the content request as normal
- At the Extent Limits section, the user will be notified that a chapter/articles have already been used for this course and will see a "Purchase Second Extract" button*
- User clicks the "edit" button and then clicks the "Purchase Second Extract" button
- User will then be guided through a 2 step-process to complete their purchase. Book/article metadata and student numbers will be confirmed, and the user will be presented with the total cost before they complete the purchase.
- If the user is happy with the cost, they can go ahead and click "Purchase". Their account will be charged as normal. If the user is not happy with the cost, they can cancel the purchase process and they will not be charged.
*The Purchase Second Extract button will only be available if the following conditions are met:
- The ISBN is available for Second Extract Permissions (you will be able to see whether or not an ISBN is available by viewing the permission details in the Licence Compliance Verification section of the Content Request):
2. You are a DCS admin
3. Your institution has a SEPS account with the CLA
We will be in touch with a release date as soon a we have one.
